Hereford is a beautiful City if you close your eyes you can imagine how it would look in the good old days with cobbled streets and horses clip clopping down the road.
Most of the old architecture is still visible in the centre of Hereford and also surrounding areas.

I am going to start at the River Wye and work my way in.
Hereford is surrounded by Rivers you have the River Wye south side of Hereford and the River Lugg on the north side.
There are a number of bridges going over the Wye the New bridge which is the main road leading to Ross and Abergavenny. The Old bridge which doesn't really take heavy traffic and the Victoria Bridge which is a metal foot bridge by the Castle Green.
The Left Bank Restaurant looks out onto the River Wye and is an excellent place to sit and watch the canoes and rowing boats from the Rowing Club go by.

Herefordshire Cathedral is a stunning piece of Architecture and has just been awarded money for restoration from the National Lottery Fund. Which is now in working progress.
Herefordshire Cathedral is the home to the Mappa Mundi which is a world map designed in the 1300 and bears the name Richard de Haldingham.
Superimposed on the map there are drawings and descriptions illustrating man's history and the marvels of the natural world.
This is the largest medieval map
known to exist to date.
Behind the Cathedral is a gift shop selling Mappa Mundi memorabilia and postcards of Hereford along with small gifts to take away for your family at home.
There are many little streets with lovely independent shops selling curious items.
Whilst in Hereford ask for directions to the Dinosaur Market this is a shop that has clothes and gifts from the 2nd world war the 50's, 60's and the 70's. It is a wonderland of things from past to the present day.

In the Centre of the city centre is the Black and White House this is the focal point of the town centre. 
On a Saturday and some Wednesdays you will find an open air market in the centre of Hereford and on Sunday there is a market at the Cattle Market the actual Cattle market is held on Wednesdays which is always a busy time in Hereford.
If you fancy watching a bit of football Hereford United Football Ground is just past the large roundabout by Tesco's and the Court Yard Theatre is opposite which shows some excellent plays.
If you fancy watching the major League games then there are many bars that offer this in Hereford The Litten Tree, Hop Pole, just to name a few.
The Night Life is not too bad either if you would like to try some local Ales try the Barrels it is a very popular pub and has a lovely area outside to chat and socialise.
There are 2 main Night Clubs Play and Dusk.
If you enjoy bowling then I would suggest you visit TGS Bowling in Hereford or the Grove Golf Golf and Bowl in Leominster.
Or maybe you are after a bit of pampering then go to Holmer Park Spa and Health Club.
If you like Craft centres then the Hop Pocket Craft Centre at Bishops Frome is an excellent choice.
Herefordshire is also the home to Bulmers Cider and there are tours around the factory showing how the cider is reproduced.
There are 24 Campsites, Caravan Touring Parks and Holiday Parks in and around Herefordshire all offering their own unique holidays.
Eastnor Castle have a wonderful Deer Park and fishing Lakes but unfortunately no on site facilities so you will need to either have your own Caravan or toilet facilities.
The deers come and pay you a visit in the morning which is nice that's if you like deers.
The Trumpet Inn has a lovely campsite right next to its pub and the rates to stay are excellent and the added bonus of having a pub with food and drink next door.
