Our first stop over was a little Caravan and Camping Park called Charris Camping & Caravan Park situated on the edge of the Stour Valley, Wimboune Dorset with easy access to travel around the area.
This was lovely clean site and we were made to feel really welcome. The showers were charged at 20p but they lasted a long time and were always hot. A very small site shop but just behind the site is a big garage which sold most items you would need for your stay.
Also close by was a camping shop in easy walking distance so if you had forgotten those pegs etc not far to go.The New Forest is only a few miles drive to Vernwood which has stunning scenery I have popped a few pics on the blog but please take a look at the Photo Album.

There are many Campsites and Caravan Parks hidden away in this area and is well worth just driving around in low season a just falling upon one.
Dorset houses some fantastic attractions to Visit. If you're adventurous there is a Go Ape Activity Centre which is a hire wire rope adventure which last approx three hours excellent for burning off a few pounds.
Monkey World at Wareham especially for the kids as this is a Conservation Park.
We drove down to Christchurch which is a stunning town having a market through the centre of the town.

Then went for a swim and what we hoped would be body boarding at High Cliffe beach but on that particular day there wasn't any waves :O(
Hampshire Borders Dorset and for some reason the borders seem to move. So I am presuming Poole and Christchurch are now in Dorset and that Bournemouth is in Hampshire. The New Forest seem to be on the border of both.
We then took a lovely drive to Bournemouth where we spent a whole day milling around the shops and walking on the beach. I have fond memories of this area as it was a monthly visit to Christchurch to see our relations.
The beach was exactly as I remembered it although the town has grown considerably. Well worth a visit though.
Our next stop off was in West Sussex and stayed on a camping site called Broadlands. This was a bit of a culture shock I must say.The site was really what I would class as a Scout Field long grass and terrapin huts for toilets that were not very clean at all.
For some profound reason there were life size Plastic Cows, Camels and Crocodiles in the centre of the field.
Which I must admit entertained the sites children.
From here we drove to Brighton and cheated and stayed in a house of a friend.
I absolutely adore this town it is a mix match of shops. I highly recommend to walk around the old shops the independent ones they are great.
I adored the beach even though its pebbles but it really is so clean and beautiful. Such a wonderful atmosphere here.
Anyway although we visited many other places on our travels I feel it would bore you slightly so you will just have to view the gallery.
